been a while...

It's been a while since I have written anything...I am thinking of re-directing the feel of this blog.  I originally wanted this to be a place I could unleash my feelings about being a nurse/student/wife/daughter/sister/friend, but I am finding it hard to stay on point.  Any great ideas about what to blog on?  stumped.....

Motivation...

I am finding it harder and harder to get my motivation going...I feel like my fuel is starting to run on low and I'm still miles from the gas station~  What's a girl to do??  I try to give myself small achievable goals like, "read 10 pages by 4 pm." "make 30 note cards by 5pm." This seems to help but I am so READY to be done with school! I know it just my impatient nature coming out, I am very thankful for the time I have in school to learn as much as possible.  Now I feel like I need to go read some more.  Lets say 10 pages by 7pm!!!

The after-test mind frame....

So I passed my test! I love the day after a test, I feel like it is a mini-break.  I can go home and veg out on the couch and watch TV or read a book(not school related) just to reward myself for the intense studying I put in all weekend and the intense studying I will have to put in the rest of the week to learn the material for the next test that will always come on too quickly.  Here is the thing about nursing school...you work your bottom off for the allotted amount of time to go and get a license to work at a job where you will continue to work your bottom off...but the good, rather, great thing about it is you have the opportunity to help make a difference in some one's life.  So no matter how hard my bottom gets worked, I know/hope that someone somewhere is grateful for this profession because it more than what you do, it is who you are.

Test 1

So I am sitting at the computer...trying to study for my first nursing test of this semester.  It is my final semester of nursing school and I am so excited to be almost done!  This is also my first blog post, so I am not really sure what to say...so I will get back to studying...  :)
